MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Elsie Ray Allen, 88, of McNeil, Ark., died Thursday, March 29, 2018, in a Little Rock hospital. Mrs. Allen was born May 26, 1929, in Magnolia. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, McNeil. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Allen; and one son, John Henry "Sonny" Allen. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Marshall Keener of Magnolia; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Billy Garland of Stephens, Ark., and Lonnie and Carol Garland of Magnolia; one sister, Irene Ellis; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. today at Macedonia Baptist Church, McNeil, with the Rev. Charlie Curry and Chris Garland officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home.
