RICHARD CARY SR.

ATLANTA, Texas—Richard Lewis Cary Sr., 93, of Jefferson, Texas, died Monday, April 30, 2018, in a Bossier City, La., hospital. Mr. Cary was born Sept. 1, 1924. He was a colonel in the Army and a member of First Baptist CHurch. Survivors include his wife, Ida Cary; one son, Richard Cary Jr.; one daughter, Margo Faithful; two granddaughters, Richael Faithful and Tiffany St. Thomas; one grandson, Robert Faithful V; one niece, Connie Burks; two grandnieces, Caela Kinchion and Lorie Allen; and two great-grandsons. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, with Dr. John Stanmore officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.
