Betty Derrick

NAPLES, Texas—Betty Ione Derrick, 102, of Omaha, Texas, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Naples. Mrs. Derrick was born April 28, 1916, in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Omaha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Derrick; one daughter, Virginia Derrick. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lisa Derrick of Omaha; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Wilson of Texarkana and Linda and Pat Burke of Shreveport, La.; two sisters, Irene Hammonds of Texarkana and Ann Gibson of Wylie, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Harrison Funeral Home with Chris Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Omaha Cemetery.
