Charles Bowles

ASHDOWN, Ark.—Charles Alexander Bowles, 90, of Ashdown died Thursday, May 3, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Bowles was born Oct. 12, 1927, De Queen, Ark. He was a retired electrician with Ideal Cement Co. and a member of Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth; and one son, John Calvin Bowles. Survivors include one son, Charles W. Bowles of Ashdown; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy R. and Jimmy Fincher of Mineral Springs, Ark.; one sister, Shirley Dove of Texarkana; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Saratoga Cemetery, Saratoga. Burial will be under direction of Madden Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
