Robert Eitel

Robert W. Eitel, age 77, of Redwater, Texas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 01, 2018. Mr. Eitel was born December 4, 1940 in Texarkana, Arkansas and was a lifetime resident of Redwater, Texas. He was a retired Elementary School Principal with the Redwater Independent School District after thirty-two years of service. He received his master's degree in education from East Texas State University. Robert was known in Redwater as "Mr. Redwater" and loved his school and community very much. He was a member of First Baptist Church Redwater and served as a deacon. Robert was also a member of the Redwater Cemetery Committee, the Redwater Industrial Development Board, the Maud Masonic Lodge # 859 and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Virginia Eitel, four brothers, W. D. "Jack" Lacy, W. J. "Billy" Lacy, James A. "Archie" Lacy, Howard Eitel and one sister, Barbara Ann Eitel. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Judy Eitel of Redwater, Texas; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jeff and Melissa Eitel of Baytown, Texas; Scot Eitel of Texarkana, Texas; four grandchildren: Loren Eitel, Robert J. Eitel, Andrew Eitel, and Nathan Eitel; one great granddaughter Olivia Morphew and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday at First Baptist Church Redwater with Rev. Todd Reed and Rev. Mike Powell officiating. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Redwater Saturday morning from 10:30 A. M. to 12:00 P. M. In lieu of flowers make contributions to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
