ROY WHITTLE

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Roy Edwin Whittle, 60, of New Boston died Saturday, May 5, 2018, in a local hospice. Mr. Whittle was born Oct. 28, 1957, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a Baptist. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Hoyt and Cindy Whittle of New Boston; three nieces and two nephews-in-law, Kelly and Brad Butler of New Boston, Kristy and Chris Cameron of Gilmer, Texas, and Andreia Brandon of Atlanta, Ga.; two nephews and one niece-in-law, James Brandon of Atlanta and Thomas and Rene Brandon of Newnan, Ga.; two daughters; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Bates Rolf Funeral Home with James Boyd Strain officiating. Burial will be in Red Bayou Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
