Melba Brian

Mrs. Melba Joy Brian, age 83, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Brian was born December 9, 1934, at Big Sandy, Texas, and had lived most of her life in Texarkana. She was a Christian and was a retired secretary. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Letitia Heflin, and a son-in-law, Bob Richardson. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Brian of Texarkana, Arkansas, one daughter, Jackie Richardson of Texarkana, Arkansas, one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Connie Brian of Texarkana, Arkansas, one twin brother, Elbie Roy Harris of Texarkana, Texas, five grandchildren, Christy Allen, Jason Brian, Brad Wilson, Kandice Heflin, and Cody Heflin, 6 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Melba loved her family and loved to cook. She was an avid quilter and won many awards for her work. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A. M. Friday at Rondo Memorial Park with Chaplain Tim Montgomery officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 PM until 6:30 PM Thursday.
