DeKALB, Texas—George Norman Anderson Sr., 66, of DeKalb died Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Mr. Anderson was born May 22, 1951, in DeKalb. He was a general laborer, farmer, horse trainer, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin and Julia Sadler of Dallas and George Norman Anderson Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Irma Arnese Stern of Houston and Jennifer Annette Bradley of Oklahoma City; one brother, Alvin Anderson of Midlothian, Texas; three sisters, Bennye Crawford of Upper Marlboro, Md., Marilyn Cotton of Dallas and Garily Abellard of Mesquite, Texas; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Ross Cullins officiating. Burial will be inHooks Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
