Donald Briggs

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Donald Leonard Briggs, 76, of DeKalb, Texas died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Briggs was born Aug. 17, 1941, in Maud, Texas. He was a retired welder with Rockwall International and a member of American Bladesmith Society and Full Gospel Church, Maud. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Amy Briggs of DeKalb; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Mike Albright of Mississippi; two brothers; one sister; and four grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with John W. Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in Ringwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
