CLAUDE MAY

DeKALB, Texas—Claude Lee May, 87, of Norman, Okla., died Monday, May 14, 2018, in a Norman nursing home. Mr. May was born July 17, 1930, in Abington, La. He was a retired construction worker with Texas and Louisiana highway departments, a Baptist and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by two wives, Roxie Ann May and Patricia Ann May. Survivors include five daughters, Carolyn Conner, Debra May and Dona Gragg of Norman, Barbara Casey of Kingston, Okla., and Kim Dockery of Amber, Okla.; four sons, John May of Pauls Valley, Okla., Claude Ray May of Norman, Terry May of Kansas and Larry May of Kingfisher, Okla.; three sisters, Virginia Hutchinson and Marie Lovejoy of Louisiana and Hazel Oquinn of Shreveport, La.; three brothers, Melvin Roy May and David May of Louisiana and Willard May of Texas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Bates Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
