HOPE, Ark.—Lillie Mae Whitmore, 79, formerly of Columbus, Ark., died Thursday, May 10, 2018. Mrs. Whitmore was born July 2, 1938, in Columbus. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Whitmore; and one grandson, James "Brooky" Adams. Survivors include five children, Terry Adams, Mark Adams and Lisa Ross of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Shera Cannon and Cleo Adams of Arlington, Texas; three brothers, Henry Lee Vaughn and Wilbur Trotter of Columbus and William Dixon of Hope; six sisters, Nare Bell Vaughn, Ruby Masters and Gloria Phillips of Columbus, Ethel Turner of Washington, Ark., Annie Bell Trotter of Toledo, Ohio, and Joyce Trotter of Texarkana, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saratoga School Gymnasium, Saratoga, Ark. Burial will be in Camp Springs Cemetery, Columbus, under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. The body may be viewed from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday with visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
