Tom Murphy

Thomas William "Tom" Murphy, 68, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, May 20, 2018, at a local hospital. Mr. Murphy was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a retired manager and sales representative for R.J.R. Nabisco Co., a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Kiwanis Club and a CASA volunteer. Survivors include his wife, Beth Murphy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Courtney Murphy and Mike Childers and Allyn Murphy and Chip Hunt; one brother and sister-in-law, James Dudley and Lisa Murphy; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, with Dr. John Webb officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m.Wednesday at the funeral home.
