Harold Ray Standley, 88, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at his home in Texarkana, Arkansas surrounded by his family. Harold was born on November 15, 1929, in Messer, Oklahoma to the late Earl Standley and Retha Ora Standley. Harold married the love of his life, Willie Mae Tatum on June 27, 1955. He honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Harold was a Baptist minister, serving the Lord as a pastor in several states including California, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Georgia. Harold loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Retha Standley; a daughter, Betty Sue Tatum; brothers, Earl Standley Jr., and Donald Gene Standley; and sisters, Oleta Hunt, Freda Rush, and Joan Thompson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Willie Mae Standley of the home, children: Marilyne Nunley and husband, Chris, of Texarkana, Arkansas; Lana Stephens and husband, Harry, of Valliant, Oklahoma; Judy Beck and husband, Jimmy, of Tom, Oklahoma; Debbie Miller and husband, Garry, of New Braunfels, Texas; Brenda Locke and husband, Bob, of Claremore, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren , 15 great-great grandchildren, and host of other family and friends. A Graveside Celebration of Life was held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10:00 AM at the Broken Bow Cemetery with Dr. Roger Copeland officiating.
