Haze Hudson

Mr. Haze Allen Hudson, age 79, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 21, 2018, at a local hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Haze was born February 18, 1939, in Texarkana, Arkansas, and had lived all of his life in Texarkana. He was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church and was retired from Domtar. He served Miller County as a Justice of the Peace for twenty-seven years, was a former member of the Texarkana, Arkansas Board of Directors, was a member of the Miller County Water Authority and was instrumental in getting water to the Genoa area, and was a former director of the Dixie Youth Baseball Association. Haze loved traveling with his late wife, Reta Batchelor Hudson, and was a special "Papaw" to his grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by his son, Brad Hudson, and a sister, Harriet Willhite. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Kent Varner of Houston, Texas, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Barry Hudson of Independence, Missouri and Brain and Tricia Hudson of Texarkana, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Kade Hudson, Kaylee Hudson, Peyton Hudson, and Carly Hudson, one great- grandchild, Ella Rhys, one sister, Bobbie McEntee of Texarkana, Arkansas, one brother, Charles Hudson of Lewisville, AR, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A celebration of his life will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Beech Street First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Posey and Rev. Todd Reed officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. The family will receive friends at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, from 6 PM until 8 PM Wednesday. The family will be at their residence, 2906 Grand Avenue, Texarkana, Arkansas.
