SARAH LEVER

Sarah Louise Whitaker Lever, 94, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, May 20, 2018, in Texarkana. Ms. Lever was born May 16, 1924, in Roxton, Texas. She was a production worker with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Katie and Marvin Nunn of Jacksonville, Ark., Greaker Robinson of Texarkana and Chekitha Whitaker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five sons, Joe Whitaker, Donnie Whitaker, Phillip Tolliver and Lawrence Hamilton of Texarkana and Neverly Whitaker of Las Vegas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Street Baptist Church with the Revs. L.B. George and Maurice Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the church.
