NEW BOSTON, Texas—Sam Anderson, 72, of New Boston died Thursday, May 24, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Anderson was born April 24, 1946, in Decatur, Ill. He was a truck driver with Tad Martin Farms and a member of First Baptist Church, New Boston. Survivors include his wife, Sue Anderson of New Boston; three sons and two daughters in law, Mark and Linda Brooks of Henderson, Texas, and Kirk and Shannon Brooks and Joel Brooks of New Boston; two daughters, Kayla Ridgeway of New Boston and Samantha Anderson of Arlington, Va.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Frank Brooks and Rick Rothwell officiating. Burial will be in Ringwood Cemetery, New Boston.
