JOHN STANSBURY

NEW BOSTON, Texas—John Joseph Stansbury, 61, of New Boston died Thursday, May 24, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Stansbury was born May 15, 1957, in Morgan City, La. He was a self-employed construction worker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, John Joseph Stansbury Jr. Survivors include his wife, Sera Cline Stansbury of New Boston; two daughters, Stephanie Vickers of McDade, Texas, and Stacie Baxley of College Station, Texas; two stepsons, Dakota Cline of Texarkana, Texas, and Matthew Cline of New Boston; one brother, Lawrance Stansbury of Branson, Mo.; one sister, Liz Glasgow of Cleveland, Texas; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Tropp officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Nash, Texas, under direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home.
