NEW BOSTON, Texas—James Clayton McCord, 64, of New Boston died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at his home. Mr. McCord was born April 6, 1954, in Victory, Ark. He was an industrial mechanic with Red River Army Depot. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Samantha Phillips and Lanney Davis. Survivors include his wife, Sharon McCord of New Boston; one son, James McCord of Tyler, Texas; four daughters, Anita Phillips, Tonya Purcell and Tanya Davis of New Boston and Jessica McCord of DeKalb, Texas; two brothers, Roy McCord of Alabama and Clyde McCord of Tennessee; five sisters, Connie Peek of Ore City, Texas, Cheryl Harwell of Alabama, Karen Sue Woodall of Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Mary Jo McCord and Margie McCord of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
