Charles "Chuck" Bradford, 57, of Redwater, Texas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 27th, 2018 in Dallas, Texas after a long, courageous fight with Leukemia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Bradford; his father, Charles Edward Bradford; and one brother, Christopher Bradford. Survivors include his wife, Patty Bradford of Redwater, Texas and her daughters Paige Hackett and Nikki Hernandez of Plano, Texas; two daughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Nathan Robinson and Jessica and Tyler Haire all of Redwater, Texas; four grandchildren, Keegan and Lainey Robinson and Brody and Zane Haire all of Redwater, Texas; two brothers and their wives, Steve and Kelly Bradford of Redwater, Texas and Mark and Anna Bradford of Bivins, Texas, along with an abundance of other special family members, friends and loved ones. Chuck was a Christian man who accepted the Lord into his life in 1997. Chuck was employed by Cooper Tire and Rubber Company for 36 years where he served as a Union member and Supervisor. He took great pride in his hometown of Redwater where he was the former Mayor and served on the City Council for many years. He was also a board member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation and a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge 859 where he was a 32nd-Degree Mason. When he wasn't busy with all of his volunteer work you could always find him on the river reeling in the crappie. He even named himself the "crappie master." He didn't have much luck in the woods lately, but he would spend many hours in the stand waiting on "big boy" to come out. Besides being a great outdoorsman; he was a loving husband, son, brother, dad, bonus dad, Paw Paw, uncle, nephew, cousin; and most important of all an unconditionally loyal friend who always had a smile on his face. Services will be held on Friday, June 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Chapelwood Funeral Home in Nash, Texas under the direction of Cranford Graves. The family will accept visitors on Thursday, May 31st from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Chuck's wishes were for donations to be made to the Children's Oncology Department of Medical City Dallas Hospital, 7777 Forest Ln., Dallas TX 75251, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
