PERRY GATLIN

DeKALB, Texas—Perry Lee Gatlin, 73, of DeKalb died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Mr. Gatlin was born March 21, 1945, in DeKalb. He was a retired brick mason, a member of Plantation Baptist Church, Malta, Texas, and a Vietnam War Army National Guard veteran. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Andrea Gatlin of DeKalb; two sisters, Carolyn Humphrey of DeKalb and Jean Steel of Texarkana; one brother, Larry Gatlin of DeKalb; two grandchildren, Cooper Gatlin and Nolan Gatlin; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bates Family Funeral Home with James Boyd Strain officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery.
