LORENZO LOPEZ

DeKALB, Texas—Lorenzo Lopez, 53, of Idabel, Okla., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, in a Paris, Texas, hospital. Mr. Lopez was born Aug. 10, 1965, in San Ciro de Acosta, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was a skidder operator with Eagle Logging. Survivors include his wife, Angela Mendez of DeKalb; one daughter, Leslie Lopez of DeKalb; one son, Lawrence Lopez of DeKalb; three brothers, Santos Lopez of Paris, Texas, Julian Lopez of DeKalb and Isaias Lopez of Idabel; five sisters, Tomasa Lopez, Nicolosa Lopez and Carmen Lopez of DeKalb, Lorenza Lopez of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Maria Lopez of San Luis Potosi; 31 nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives. Services will be held at a later date in Mexico. Local arrangements are under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
