NEW BOSTON, Texas—Morris Glenn Pierce, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, in a Texarkana nursing home. Mr. Pierce was born Aug. 26, 1941, in New Boston. He was a retired civil and mechanical engineer with Red River Army Depot, a retired Master Sergeant with the Air Force Reserve, and a farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Nelson Pierce. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, James and Rebecca Pierce McKay of New Boston; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Gretchen Pierce of Little Rock; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Ruth Pierce of Greenwood, Ind.; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Friday at Tapp United Methodist Church, New Boston, with Tommy Earl Burton officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 1;30 a.m. Friday at the church. Online registration is at batesrolffuneralhome.com.
