BILL CRUMPTON

William David "Bill" Crumpton, 82, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Crumpton was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Texarkana. He was a retired fleet supervisor with GTE, co-owner of C & S Builders, a member of the First Baptist Church, Nash, Texas, and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Tim Crumpton. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Crumpton of Texarkana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Cheretta Crumpton of Huntsville, Texas, and Jeff and Thuy Crumpton of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Darrell Gibson of Texarkana; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis Crumpton and Dan Shiner of Red Lick, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
