Mary Arlene Hanson, 74, of Queen City, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Hanson was born December 29, 1943 in Hope, Arkansas. She was retired from Hobby Lobby, former owner of Boutique Florist, formerly employed with Johnson Control and a member of Open Door Baptist Church, Atlanta, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quinnon Hanson; and one grandson, Jason Cowley. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Debra and Rodney Akin and Margaret Boone of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Sharon Johnson of Mena, Ark.; one stepson, Barry Hanson of Queen City, Texas; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Joy and Glenn Cowley of Fouke; one brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Karen Rogers of Sioux City, Iowa; one sister, Charlene and Ed Shehane of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Dr. David Holder officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
