NEW BOSTON, Texas—Donna Gay McMellon, 54, of Simms, Texas, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at her home. Mrs. McMellon was born Aug. 12, 1964, in Longview, Texas. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Carl Johnson of Simms; one son, Blake McMellon of Hallsville, Texas; one daughter, Amy McMellon of Tulsa, Okla.; her parents, David and Ruby Smitherson of Longview; one brother, John David Smitherman of Lucas, Texas; one granddaughter, Brianne McMellon of Simms; one grandson, Matthew McMellon of Simms; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Online registration is at batesrolffuneralhome.com.
