RAY GARDNER

ATLANTA, Texas—Ray Gardner, 85, of Atlanta died Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Gardner was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Los Angeles. He was retired from Central Valley Chrysler, Modesto, Calif., a pilot, a member of R.C. Flying Club, Indian Hills Country Club and Laws Chapel United Methodist Church and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Oaxaca Lloyd. Survivors include his wife, Jan Gardner of Atlanta; one son, James Raymond Gardner of Atlanta; one daughter, Karole Oxford of Ione, Calif.; five grandchildren, David Oxford, Elliott Oxford, Ian Oxford, Kirsten Oaxaca and Richard Oaxaca; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Laws Chapel Scholarship Fund.
