Lavelle Scoggins Brune

Lavelle Scoggins Brune, 96, of Fouke, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Brune was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Fouke, Ark. She was a homemaker and retired from Kelly Girl Services, Southwest-ern Transportation and Sears Roebuck and Co. She also was a member of Fouke Volunteer Fire Department, Fouke Extension Homemaker Club, Retired Senior Visitation Program, Sears Retiree Club and Fouke Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva A. "Junior" Brune. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tim Garton of Burns, Tenn.; one son and daughter-in-law, Carroll and Dixie Brune of Mansfield, Texas; two sisters, Frances Talkington of Waxahachie, Texas, and Clara Nell Stuart of Searcy, Ark.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services 11 a.m. Thursday at Fouke Church of Christ with Johnny Pistole officiating. Burial will be in Fouke Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Ark.
