Marguerite Funderburg Russell

Marguerite Funderburg Russell, age 97, formerly of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born on August 28, 1921 in Buck Range, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Dan and Maude Coley Funderburg. Mrs. Russell was a member of Damascus Baptist Church in Lockesburg, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Harvey Russell, sister Johanna Caldwell, brothers Dan, Johnny, and Warren Funderburg, one granddaughter Michelle Russell, and a son-in-law Charles Staggs. Survivors include one son, Charles Russell (Regina) of Texarkana, AR; two daughters, Dana Newberg (Donnie) of Nashville, AR and Sandra Staggs of Fayetteville, AR; grandchildren Lisa Russell, Kelly Newberg, Susan Bratschi (Jay), Brady Staggs (Lena), Lee Scott, Laura Scott, and Shelby Scott; great grandchildren Audrey, Valerie, and Abbey; a special niece, Joan Withers, and many other family and friends. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time Tuesday, November 27, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 27, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Bro. John Bryant and Bro. Wayne Sewell officiating. Burial will follow in Coulter Cemetery in Lockesburg, Arkansas.
