ADA HADDOCK
DeKALB, Texas—Ada Gaddis Haddock, 103, of Avery, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, in a Clarksville, Texas, nursing home.
Mrs. Haddock was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Colgate, Okla. She was a homemaker, a rancher and a member of Assemblies of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Weldon Haddock; one daughter, Evelyn Kelly; one son, Sammy Haddock; one grandson, Keith Tidwell; and one granddaughter, Lynn Kelly.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Vivian and Melton Brown of Kaufman, Texas, Jo Smith of Maud, Texas, and Rita Bishop of Post, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Ruby Haddock and Kent and Kay Haddock of Avery; two brothers, Ed Gaddis and Jack Gaddis of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Rev. James Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
