MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Nathaniel Smith, 83, of Summerfield, La., died Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. Mr. Smith was born May 30, 1935. He was a log cutter. He was preceded in death by five sons, Anthony, Robert, Clay Terry, Melvin Ray and Rickey Charles Smith; one daughter, Sylvia Deloris McDaniel; and three grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Hopkins of Magnolia and Annette McKinney of Haynesville, La.; three sons, Stephen Smith and Thomas Meadows of Haynesville, La., and Cadarious Johnson of Jackson, La.; two brothers, Leon Smith of Spearsville, La., and Bobby Eugene Smith of Lillie, La.; one sister, Melba Addison of DeSoto, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Fellowship Baptist Church, Lillie, with the Rev. James George officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery under direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon to 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
