ATLANTA, Texas—Alice "Readie" Wicks, 75, of Atlanta died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, in a Frisco, Texas nursing home. Mrs. Wicks was born Jan. 17, 1943, in Atlanta. She was employed with Avon and a member of First Baptist Church, Queen City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Lee Wicks Jr.; and one son, Larry Kirkland. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tammy Marie Kirkland and Will Jones of Nashville, Tenn., Cynthia Wicks and Ken Endicott of Frisco and Pamela Kathryn "P.K." Wicks of North Richland Hills, Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Larry and Joyce Green and Melvin Green of Queen City; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church with Jim Looby officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
