GWENDOLYN JAMES

LINDEN, Texas—Gwendolyn Evon Bell James, 55, of Douglassville, Texas, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018. Mr. James was born Dec. 24, 1962, in Cass County, Texas. She was a member of Walker Chapel Church. Survivors include her husband, L.C. James of Douglassville; two daughters, LaBrisha Bell of Naples, Texas, and Bell Allen of Texarkana; seven sisters, Mable Wilson, Betty Bell, Lydia McGary, Sharon Matthews, LaShonna Bell, Ruthie Gaston and Tamela Dowden; three brothers, Ricky Bell, Shane Bell and Willie B. Bell; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church, Atlanta. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online registration is at reeder-davis.com.
