SUSIE NEAL

Susie Mae Neal, 93, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Neal was born April 18, 1935, in Springhill, La. She was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clennie T. Neal; one son, Clennie T. Neal Jr.; and one daughter, Dr. Gloria Neal-Pace. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Louise Neal of Madera, Calif., and Charles and Sandra Neal of Wake Village, Texas; four daughters, Betty Deleye of Cypress, Calif., Donna Smith of Texarkana, Doris Neal of Long Beach, Calif., and Barbara Neal of Grapevine, Texas; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Eurgean and Raymond Taylor of Albany, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Revs. O.J. Newburn Sr. and Phillip Willis Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Nash Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
