OPAL HOBBS

DIERKS, Ark.—Opal D. Osborn Hobbs, 95, of Dierks, Ark., died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, in Dierks. Mrs. Hobbs was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Vander-voort, Ark. She was a beautician and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, I.E. "Buddy" Hobbs; and one grandson, Drew Walston. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Junior Nichols of Hot Springs, Ark., and Judy and Phil Walston of Dierks; one son Butch Hobbs of Dierks; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Craig Chambers and Dr. David Blasé officiating. Burial will be in Dierkes Cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The body may be viewed from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online registration is at wilkersonfuneralhomes.com.
