RICHARD BEARD

Richard Beard, 86, of Ashdown, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, in Ashdown. Mr. Beard was born May 8, 1932, in Richmond, Ark. He was retired from Smith Blair. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Johnson of Ashdown; two grandsons, Cornelius Coleman of Sacramento, Calif., and Jerome Coleman of Hope, Ark.; one granddaughter, Mary Ann Coleman of Texarkana, Texas; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Springs Baptist Church, Ashdown, with Dr. O.D. Woods and the Rev. Leon Talton officiating. Burial will be in Wise Cemetery, Lewisville, Ark., under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary.
