JOVETA BONNER

Joveta Cean Bonner, 82, of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Bonner was born July 17, 1936, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Red Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bonner; two daughters, Debbie Bonner and Carolyn Gortney; and one grandson, Joey Bonner. Survivors include two sons, Steve Bonner and Tracy Spivey of Texarkana; five grandchildren, Derek Godwin of Oklahoma and Chris Bonner, J.W. Gortney, Samantha Gortney and Alyssa Spivey of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Northwood Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Online registration is at chapelwoodfuneralhome.com.
