HOPE, Ark.—Mildred "Ruth" Harvel, 78, of Hope died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, in Hope. Mrs. Harvel was born April 8, 1940, in Foreman, Ark. She was retired from Tyson Foods and a member of Anderson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Esthel Harvel. Survivors include two sons, Ricky Harvel and Greg Harvel; four brothers, Harold Rushing, Johnny Rushing, Davis Rushing and Jimmy Rushing; three sisters, Mary Applegate, Lucille Hawthorne and Dorothy "Polly" Willis; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home with Ernie Sorrels officiating. Burial will be in Huckabee Cemetery. Online registration is at herndonfuquafuneralhomes.com.
