Billy Joe Watson

LINDEN, Texas—Billy Joe Watson, 88, of Hurst, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2018. Mr. Watson was born Feb. 7, 1930, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was retired from General Motors, a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church, Hurst, and a Korean War Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Jean Watson; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Joseph Martino; three stepchildren, Glynn Williams, Billy Williams and Paula Turner; one brother, Clyde Watson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bear Creek Baptist Church with John Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the church.
