ANN SMITH

DeKALB, Texas—Ann Smith, 82, of Hooks, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in a DeKalb care center. Ms. Smith was born April 13, 1936, in Bodcaw, Ark. She was a retired financial stock auditor at NASD and a member of First United Methodist Church, Hooks, Texas. Survivors include one sister, Hugh Dean Babb of Hooks; two nieces, Lisa Robertson of Hooks and Pamela Meador of West Monroe, La.; one nephew, Philip Hugh Robertson of DeKalb; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Keith Ducroz officiating. Arrangements are with Bates Family Funeral Home.
