BETTY SINGLETARY

STAMPS, Ark.—Betty Goforth Singletary, 92, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018. Mrs. Singletary was born July 29, 1926, in Overton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. Singletary. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joe III and Deborah Singletary; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn Singletary and Monte Miller and Kathy and Lane Norsworthy; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Tommy Ryder officiating. Burial will be under direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Garland Community Church, Texas Woman's University Alumni Venita Young Scholarship Fund, Lone Star DAR Chapter scholarship fund or Hospice of Texarkana.
