NEW BOSTON, Texas—Charles Homer "Swampy" Floyd, 75, of New Boston died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospice. Mr. Floyd was born Aug. 17, 1943, in Wallace Ridge, La. He was a retired farm manager at FCI and an Army veteran. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Betty Floyd of Fouke, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Maurice Joseph of Seattle; two stepsons and spouses, Scott and Kathleen Fillingame of Pearland, Texas, and Steven and Karen Fillingame of Bay City, Texas; two sisters, Bertie Maxwell and Shirley Green of Georgetown, La.; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Bates Rolf Funeral Home with Ken Cauley and Jim Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Ringwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana. Online registration is at batesrolffuneralhome.com.
