IRENE EVANS

Irene Louise Evans, 84, of Flint, Mich., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, in Flint. Mrs. Evans was born April 9, 1934, in Bradley, Ark. She was a medical transcriber with Hurley Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Cottrell Evans Sr. of Flint; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Gregory Chewe of Riverside, Calif., Jocelyn and Charles Knox of Flushing, Mich., and Deborah Lawrence of Flint Township, Mich.; one son and daughter-in-law, Cottrell Jr. and Amber Evans of Flint; two brothers, James Warner and Reuben Drake of Texarkana, Ark.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Elder Charles Knox officiating. Burial will be under direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
