DeKALB, Texas—John Wesley England, 94, of New Boston, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, care center. Mr. England was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Leslie, Ark. He was a retired maintenance foreman at Red River Army Depot and a member of New Covenant Life Fellowship Church, New Boston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Athlene England. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jonna and George Harmon and Terry and Ron Humphrey of New Boston, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey and Glenda England of New Boston and Dennis and Cindy England of Springhill, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Red Bayou Cemetery, New Boston, with the Rev. Ron Humphrey officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Bates Family Funeral Home.
