JERRY JACOBS

NASHVILLE, Ark.—Jerry Jacobs, 84, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018. Mr. Jacobs was born May 12, 1934, in Center Point, Ark. He was former vice president of First State Bank in De Queen, Ark., president of First National Bank of Howard County in Dierks, Ark., and president of Regions Bank in Nashville; past employee of Production Credit Association; current chairman of Rich Mountain Electric in Mena, Ark.; member of the Dierks and Nashville chambers of commerce, Rotary Club, Lions Club and Medical Association of Dierks; and past member of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives and the ERMCO board of directors. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church, Nashville, and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Sherraden Jacobs; one daughter, Lori Hinds of Nashville; one son and daughter-in-law, Hulet and Kerry Jacobs of Roland, Ark.; three grandchildren, Tinnin Hayes, Kera Colbey and Kacey Hinds; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Nashville. Memorials may be made to the Benevolent Fund or Operation Christmas Child at First Baptist Church, 415 N. Main, Nashville, AR 71852.
