JIMMY MURPHY SR.

Jimmy Wayne Murphy Sr., 63, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Genoa, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in a Hot Springs hospital. Mr. Murphy was born Jan. 13, 1955, in Texarkana, Ark. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Jonesville Community Church, Fouke, Ark. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Williams. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Murphy of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Jr. and Christina Murphy of Hot Springs; one daughter and son-in law, Mindy and Robert Williams Jr. of Hot Springs; one sister, Mona Perkins of Glenwood, Ark., four grandchildren, Faith Williams, Katelyn Murphy, Skyler Murphy and Kyle Williams; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at VT Family Church, Genoa, with the Revs. James Boulton and Carrie Huff officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday evening at the church. Online registration is at texarkanafuneralhome.com.
