MAYDELL SHAVER

DeKALB, Texas—Maydell Shaver, 62, of New Boston, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Ms. Shaver was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Simms, Texas. She was a restaurant server and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry "Bubba" Obenoskey. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Toya and Chad Whitecotton of DeKalb; one sister, Sue Martinez of DeKalb; two grandchildren, Rhealyn Reagan of Mount Vernon, Texas, and Daniel Whitecotton of DeKalb; and a number of other relatives. Graveside memorial services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Wards Creek Cemetery, Simms, with Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
