DeKALB, Texas—Windell Clarence Bishop, 68, of DeKalb died Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at his home. Mr. Bishop was born Oct. 28, 1949, in DeKalb. He was a retired quality control inspector with Red River Army Depot and attended Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Haleigh Walton. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Clark Bishop of DeKalb; one daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Vern "Buck" Walton of DeKalb; two sisters, Wanda Tyler of Odessa, Texas, and Martha Duffee of Bogata, Texas; one granddaughter, Kyleigh Walton of DeKalb; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Bates Family Funeral Home with Chris Shupe officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery. Relatives will be at the family home.
