JOHNNY WISE SR.

DeKALB, Texas—Johnny Ray Wise Sr., 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at his home. Mr. Wise was born Jan. 6, 1941, in Simms, Texas. He was a retired carpenter and demolition technician with Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows organization and Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Ashdown, Ark. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Kaleb Wise. Survivors include one daughter, Tina Wise Smith of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny R. Jr. and Caroline Wise of Delight, Ark.; his former wife, Margaret Wise of Ashdown; six grandchildren, Carla Lovell, Shayla Anderson, Karena McKinney, Jenny Anderson, Carman Lingo and Kayla Wise; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bates Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Roy Ford and Wayne Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
