LINDEN, Texas—Dora Jane King Whatley, 61, of Linden died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, in Lufkin, Texas. Mrs. Whatley was born July 20, 1957, in Linden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marty Dale Whatley. Survivors include four sons, Justin Waites of Huntington, Texas, Walt Whatley of Bivins, Texas, Buddy Whatley and Rodney Whatley of Linden; three sisters, Lanita Williams, Thelia Price and Eva Nell Lee of Linden; one brother, Teddy King of Linden; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Perry Hart officiating. Burial will be in Kildare Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
