KENNIE ATKINS

HOPE, Ark.—Kennie Velton Atkins Jr., 86, of Hope died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018. Mr. Atkins was born April 17, 1932, in Spring Hill, Ark. He was a carpenter and a member of Harvest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Atkins. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Sam Arnold; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kyla Smith and John Fortenberry; two great-grandchildren, Harley Smith and Judge Fortenberry; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Central Cemetery with Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be under direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
